903 - B&O Baggage Building
Designed after the one found at Winton Place , this kit is just the right size to go on just about any layout and can substitute for many different types of buildings.  Just as on the prototype, there is a small indent in the wall for the call box used by the local cab company and the remains of what used to be a side baggage door.  The kit consists of laser cut plywood walls, laser cut plywood battens that apply in four sheets instead of individually, and laser cut shingles.

904 - Octagonal Crossing Shanty
This kit makes a fine looking crossing shanty that will go on just about any layout modeling 1870 to the 1950's.  The prototype for this kit was located close to the Winton Place Station and was where the crossing attendant spent his days and nights waiting for the trains to pass.  The kit is made up of finely laser cut and engraved plywood of differing thickness, tarpaper roofing, and a cast metal smoke pipe.

962 - PRR Section House
The 1st class section house (12'-4" x 16'-4") was found in scores of locations in western Pennsylvania and the nine other stats the Pennsy served in the mid-west.  Taken from tracing 8140, these structures were used for hand cars, track tools, and as small offices from 1899 to the end of the railroad.  Pictures of the 1st class and other section houses have to be gleaned from the background of photographs, as few were ever the subject of their own photograph in its entirety.  This laser cut plywood model faithfully follows available tracings and pictures.   Construction time should take between 2 to 3 hours.

990 - ATSF Sandhouse
The model is based on Santa Fe ’s sand house in San Bernardino , California and represents the sand house in the late forties and fifties after it was expanded and adapted for sanding diesel locomotives as well as steam.  The Santa Fe had several similar sand houses through out the system though there were differences in each structure.  The kit includes materials to build the building, the sand bin, and the trestle leading to the bin.  The walls are cut from thin plywood that resists warping and go together to make a very durable model.  The ladders, windows and door are cut specifically for the kit as is the roofing material, and acetate for the window glass. Wire is included for modeling the sanders which requires some soldering.  The kit also includes Tichy bolt and washer castings, light fixtures, and a track bumper. A fire extinguisher casting was made just for this model.

980 - Class 1 Depot
This "Class 1" depot was constructed at eleven locations along the M&StL.

They were: Searles, La Salle, Echols, and Ormsby (in Minnesota), Raleigh, Langdon, Cornell, Rembrandt, Olaf and Truesdale (in Iowa), and at Strandburg, SD. In the years following World War 2, the M&StL painted most frame buildings a dark green, a green slightly closer to blue on the spectrum than yellow. One example of a depot with this color was the Langdon IA depot. There were exceptions however. For example, the depot at La Salle MN was painted white. This laser cut wood kit is being produced exclusively for the C&NW Historical Society by Mountaineer Precision Products.
